Welcome to Vidaly with Jenny, I’m Jenny and this is where I share my experiences as I go through the University of Life and learn lessons through trial and error!
Q: How do I place an order with Vidaly Mill & Bake?
A: All orders are placed through our online store app, which handles everything from product selection to payment and confirmation. It’s a simple, secure, and streamlined process. https://www.hotplate.com/vidalybakery
Q: How far in advance do I need to order?
A: We require a 48-hour lead time to ensure every loaf is freshly milled and baked to perfection.
Q: Do you have a weekly menu or rotating options?
A: Yes! We offer a set menu of signature white sandwich loaves, including half-loaf options and seasonal jams and jellies. Some seasonal or limited-time flavors may rotate in.
Q: Can I request a custom order?
A: We focus on our core offerings, but custom orders are considered on a case-by-case basis. Send your request to bakery@vidalywjenny.com or text (281) 946-9886.
Q: Do you have an order limit?
A: Yes—daily order quantities are limited since we bake in small batches to preserve freshness and quality.
Q: Where and when can I pick up my bread?
A: Pickup details are shared via the app after you place your order. Pickups are typically available on designated days and time windows.
Q: Do you deliver?
A: Yes—but only to subscribers within our local Houston service area.

Q: How will I know my bread is ready?
A: For Pick-up, you'll receive a confirmation text and updates from the app with pickup instructions. Deliveries will be scheduled by the office based on your subscription.
Q: Do you ship bread?
A: We do not offer shipping, in compliance with Texas Cottage Food Law. Our products are only available for local pickup or delivery.
Q: What makes your bread healthier?
A: Our loaves are made with organic flour, never bleached, and contain no additives or preservatives. We use organic, non-GMO, and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.
Q: How long does the bread stay fresh?
A: Thanks to the tangzhong method used in our baking process, your bread stays soft, moist, and fresh for up to 7 days. For the best taste and texture, we recommend enjoying it within that time frame. All loaves are baked the morning of your scheduled pickup or delivery, so you receive them at their freshest — same day.
Q: Is your bread gluten-free or allergen-free?
A: No. While our ingredients are wholesome, we do not offer gluten-free or allergen-free guarantees at this time.
Q: How do I pay for my order?
A: All payments are processed directly through our app, offering secure checkout options with no need for third-party apps like Venmo or Zelle.
Q: What kind of packaging do you use?
A: We use standard packaging designed to keep your bread fresh. Sustainable or eco-certified packaging materials/options are currently only available to our subscription customers.
Q: How will I get updates about my order?
A: All communication—from confirmation to delivery/pickup timing—happens through text initiated by the app so you’re always in the loop.
Q: Are you a licensed bakery?
A: Vidaly Bakery is a licensed, home-operated micro bakery that operates under the Texas Cottage Food Law, which allows for safe, small-batch home baking without a commercial license. We follow all required food handling practices and communicate the required Legal Notice: The food is made in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department.
Certification: Texas Food Handler License #6 | Certification Number: 20250406120400 | Expiration Date: 04/06/2027
Q: Do you offer bread subscriptions?

A: Not at this time, but we occasionally pop up at community events. Follow us on social media for updates!
