MM005 - Screen Time

January, I made a declaration, “January shall be a month with no screen time!”. I felt quite proud of the journey my family was about to embark on! We were going to grow so close……………

On January 3rd, the issues began.

February 24th I sit here after my failed attempt to go a full month with "no screens", I think we limped through 1 week…..maybe??? I should have documented it.

Anyway, I couldn’t shake the feeling of unease of my child spending too much time on the internet. So, I set out to discover how excessive screen time can harm children. What I found is that my child is not the only one in danger, I and my husband are as well. I also learned the importance of being the parent means that I must model how I want my child to relate to social media - yeah much easier said than done.
